| week 16 top scorers --------------- qb t.thigpen rb d.williams rb b.jacobs wr m.colston wr a.bryant wr h.ward te d.clark pk. s. gostkowski def titans -------------------- this is a week 16 "perfect lineup" using the scoring of the Ghost of 9 league...which is fairly typical of most scoring used around the FF world. thigpen was undrafted and a waiver wire player until about half way thru the season. played week 16 in sub zero wind chill weather in kansas city, on a team that won just 2 games all year. williams and jacobs played IN THE SAME GAME in new york, in bad weather, against teams that were highly ranked in run defense....in addition, jacobs was questionable to even play and his backup (derrick ward) had over 200 yards rushing IN THE SAME GAME a.bryant went undrafted for the most part and was a waiver wire pick up only after it became clear joey galloway was not coming back....he plays on a low scoring offense with either jeff garcia or brian griese at qb. his week 16 was in good weather in tampa colston was drafted high but had a bad year (199th overall in the Ghost of 9 standings) week 16 was his best game of the year and came in a dome against the woeful lions. hines ward was a middle round pick and produced pretty well all year...his week 16 numbers came on the road, in cold weather against the titans pk gostkowski scored the 2nd highest pk numbers for all of 2008 at home in the worst possible blizzard conditions the titans got a week 16 high at home, in cold weather, against the steelers. --------------------- so there it is...SUPER BOWL's everywhere could have been yours if you managed to get to week 16.... and somehow had these players on your roster.... and had, ignoring all weather reports, most statistical data and match up logic, the amazing foresight to actually start these guys in the BIG ONE.
