| Just a reminder... We will kick off the final off-season draft round this weekend, starting at 12 noon ET on Saturday, Aug. 30th. This start time will coincide with the conclusion of the NFL pre-season from the night before. There will be no additional drop/add waivers before the start of the season on Thursday, Sept. 4th. If you have players you plan on starting who will be appearing in that opening night NFL game (Redskins vs. Giants), make sure you get those players declared PRIOR to the kickoff of that game next week. GLFFL rules allow you to start or bench a player up until that player's kickoff so don't leave yourself with key players on the bench due to the early game. Also, a reminder that all rosters are to be cut down to 16 players no later than 48 hours after the final off-season draft round has been completed. We will do a sweep of all leagues at this point to make sure teams are in compliance. If teams are over the limit, we'll allow the computer to make the drops for you. I'm not sure how smart the computer is in doing this though so make sure you make the necessary cuts yourself. A new rule this season then will allow you to expand back out to 18 players between Weeks 13 and 14, in order to gear up for the playoffs and consolation tournament.
