(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 22, 2008) In a week 16 GLPFFL rivalry, *BrownsROCK squeaked by a tough *Rolling Rock team by a score of 147.90 to 134.45, extending the winning streak for *BrownsROCK to 9 games.
*BrownsROCK were led to their 13.45 point victory by a 24.70 point effort from Antonio Bryant, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 127 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Bryant was the number 2 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 22.60 point effort from Wes Welker, who snuck past the Arizona Cardinals defense for 68 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. "We knew this would be no cakewalk," *BrownsROCK coach Mitch Cheselka said. *Rolling Rock were helped out in a losing cause by a 23.80 point effort from Reggie Wayne, who beat the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 108 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. They also got help from a 23.75 point effort from Chad Pennington, who got by the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 235 passing yards and 3 passing TDs. "There were too many defensive lapses," *Rolling Rock coach Doug Frank said. Adding salt to the wound, *Rolling Rock could have scored 148.65 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Doug Frank left key players like Owen Daniels and his corresponding 18.10 points on the bench. *Rolling Rock drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 19 out of 22 other potential opponents in week 16. This brings the record for *BrownsROCK to 11-5, and drops *Rolling Rock to a record of 10-6. | ||
