Well, another FFFL week is in the books! There is a change at the top of the Charcoal Division with Dutchie now on top at 8-3 while the Mavericks are on top of the Propane Division at 7-4. The tough luck award of the week goes to Bigfoot. Scoring 133 points was good enough to beat everyone in the league except for the one team he played, Team Rock....

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Nov 17, 2008) In a week 11 Fantasy Football Freaks League intra-divisional matchup, Rock the League beat a strong Bigfoot team by a score of 163.5 to 133.5, silencing a partisan crowd of 67,373. With their 163.5 points, Rock the League is now the proud record-holder of the 3rd-highest weekly point total in league history.

Rock the League were led to their 30.0 point victory by a 38.0 point effort from T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who beat the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 149 receiving yards and 1 receiving td. With this performance, Houshmandzadeh was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 11. They also got help from a 38.0 point effort from Marshawn Lynch, who beat the Cleveland Browns defense for 119 rushing yards in addition to 58 receiving yards.

"This win is for all the fans," Rock the League coach Bob Rock said.

Bigfoot were helped out in a losing cause by a 34.0 point effort from Larry Fitzgerald, who beat the Seattle Seahawks defense for 151 receiving yards. With this performance, Fitzgerald was the number 4 ranked wide receiver for week 11. They also got help from a 33.0 point effort from Steve Slaton, who beat the Indianapolis Colts defense for 156 rushing yards and 1 rushing td.

"They out-muscled us," Bigfoot coach Eric Lotter said.

Bigfoot drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 8 other potential opponents in week 11.

This brings the record for Rock the League to 5-6, and drops Bigfoot to a record of 6-5.

Coming up in week 12, Rock the League are at the 2-9 Bulldogs, where Bulldogs are an early 24.1-point underdog, while Bigfoot are at the 5-6 Wolf Pack, where Wolf Pack are an early 6.4-point favorite.

Week 1 Preview
A.P. News Wire

It’s kickoff time for the 2008 FFFL season! With another draft day behind us and the starting rosters now submitted this reporter will now resume the weekly predictions of each match up. Please, by no means should you use this information to place bets in Vegas…..And now, here we go…..

TNT at The Bulldogs: New owner Dan Dymond has his work cut out for him with his Week 1 matchup against the ‘Dogs. Although Coach Martin’s team is coming off of a 4-10 season, the Bulldogs did take home a 3rd place trophy. The only other time that the Bulldogs finished with a losing record they won the league title the following year. TNT has Addai and Colston, the ‘Dogs have Romo and T.O. Final Score: Bulldogs 120 – TNT 106.

Gods of the Game at Harts Heros: Coach Harts team is coming off back-to-back Toilet Bowl Titles, but this year may finally be a year to talk about. With one of the best backfields in the FFFL he may find his team in unfamiliar territory, first place late in the season. Coach Weiss will lean on old man Favre as well as a solid receiving corp but it may not be enough in Week 1. Final Score: Heros 102 – GOTG 90.

Mavericks at Wolfpack: Coach Vlk’s Pack lost in the championship game last season and looks to take the next step this year and win it all. With the hard hitting Brandon Jacobs and QB Tom Brady the Wolfpack can make a strong case. The Mavericks and Coach Hemingway may be another story. The Front Office Management wrote down the wrong date on their calendar and missed the league draft. Now they try to make a title run with Tavaris Jackson at QB, but hope Randy Moss can carry the load. Final Score: Wolfpack 96 – Mavs 88

Bigfoot at Lombardi Lives: New name, new outlook for Coach Lotter and this team may have what it takes to win it all. His teams have usually come up short but a good draft has his spirits high. Coach Bryant has also been patient in waiting for another title, his last coming in ’02. Team Bigfoot has a tough receiving unit as well as a top QB. Can Lombardi stop this train in Week 1? Final Score: Bigfoot 114 – Lombardi 90.

Rock the League at Dutchie: The best for last. The defending champs made due in the draft, filling spots with what was available. At first it didn’t look good. But now Coach Rock pulled the usual magic and has a team that could quietly march toward the playoffs. Coach Bryants Dutchie team will put up most of its points with Tomlinson and Peyton Manning, but will it be enough? Final Score: Dutchie 102 – Rock the League 101.
